Office asepsis and sterilization are very important and rigorous protocols are followed in our office at all times for every patient.  Instruments and handpieces are packaged and sterilized in a steam autoclave between each use.  The operatory is thoroughly cleaned between patients.  Plastic is used to cover the chair and most objects that will be touched during an appointment.  This plastic is replaced between each patient.  Surface disinfectants are used also.  Our sterilization equipment is monitored by North Bay/Bioscience, Inc. to guarantee its effectiveness. We have a self-contained water delivery system.  All guidelines put forth by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Dental Association (ADA) are followed.  Dr. Boyd is also a member of the Organization for Safety and Asepsis Procedures.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask so we can help make your visit to our office a pleasant experience.
